Winemaking
The vines are 40 years old on average. Vacqueyras vineyard covers wide slopes of various gradients formed by the river Ouvèze, between 60 and 160 metres high. The soil is made of sandstone cobbles and flint which lie alongside limestone fragments and clay located deeper. This terroir is situated just on the east border ofthe Hills of the Rhône's warmest climate, where the rain is scarce and the Mistralwind has a strong effect although a little lessened by the neighbouring hills andmountains. Syrah and Grenache varieties are vinified the traditional way with two-weeks maceration.

Tasting Note
Soft fruit and berry aromas are easily offered to one's sense of smell. When having a further smell, you may notice hints of pureed strawberries and blueberries, as well as the liquorice and violet scents of Syrah. This highly generous wine has a beautiful, round texture. Its sweet tannins give a fresh and fruity sensation in the mouth.

Serving Suggestion
Served at a 17-18°C temperature, this wine will beautifully match a beef sirloin/flanksteak, a mutton leg flavoured with thyme or cooked cheese.
