100% Chenin Blanc

The soils are dark alluvial to clay and combined with the well-drained, hilly terrainand Mediterranean climate prove ideal for viticulture., with warm dry summers andcold, wet winters. Hutton, Clovelly and Kroonstad soils dominate the region and ensure a better quality ripening environment for the Chenin Blanc variety. The average age of thev vineyards vary between 8 and 15 years and yields generated from these vines amount to roughly 8 – 10 tons per hectare. The vines are planted north to south on a 5 wire trellising system. Cool fermented in stainless steel vats with no oak contact to maintain the primary fruit characters.

Tasting Note
This white wine has lovely pineapple and melon flavours on the nose, following through to a limy, full middle-palate and finishing in crisp freshness. This wine can be enjoyed now and will keep well for a further 2 years from vintage.

Serving Suggestions
Excellent as an aperitif, or serve lightly chilled with salads, creamy pasta dishes, white meats, especially chicken, or fish. To be enjoyed whilst young and fresh.
